From: SUTHERLAND at BBN-TENEXB
Subject: New Arpa Programs
To: Principal Investigators:
Last August, the Computer Science Division at BBN put
together a draft for a new ARPA/IPTO program called Multiple
Resource Computing Technology. We think that Lick and the IPTO
office perused it but it did not achieve a resounding reception.
It is heavily biased by our experience and interests and could
probably be identified as to source by any of you familiar with
our views. It is available through the net from
[BBN]<DOCUMENTATION>MRC-TECHNOLOGY.DOC for anyone interested in
case it can stimulate discussion or comment or serve any other
useful purpose. It is about 25 pages.

The ARPA proposal segments are located in <proj>.PUB[R,LES],
where <proj>= AI, FR, AD, PU, NL, & HE. You may snarf your
part or edit in place.
The first line of each of these files is
.REQUIRE "HEAD.PUB[R,LES]" SOURCE_FILE;
which sets up PUB macros for two-column output. Thus, you can
Pub your part to see what it looks like. For a brief description
of what the principal macros do, see Page 2 of HEAD.PUB [R,LES].
The corresponding segments of our last annual report are located
in files <proj>.RPT [R,LES]. Have fun!
